High school pastor in the making.
Hi, I'm Charles — a pastoral resident at College Avenue Baptist Church, where I preach and lead a high school small group every Wednesday. High school ministry isn't new to me: I spent three years serving students at my home church before this residency, and it's where I want to keep building — leading a high school ministry, and over time, preaching to the whole church on Sunday mornings too. I'm finishing a Finance degree at San Diego State University alongside an Associate's in Theology at Summit Bible College, but the same things matter to me in a room of eight teenagers as they do behind a pulpit: clear communication, real preparation, and paying attention to the person in front of me.
